Christian Women’s Fellowship

Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF) provides opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries enabling women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Christian Women's Fellowship is a time for study, worship, service and fellowship with the women of the church.

Through CWF sponsored events, women are invited to share the Good News through:

  • Worship for spiritual growth and renewed discipleship.
  • Bible study for greater knowledge, understanding and service.
  • Study of contemporary issues for the purpose of action and advocacy.
  • Mission study for knowledge, understanding and acceptance of others.
  • Service/Action for hands-on personal involvement.
  • Fellowship/Networking for building the faith community with other women.
  • Leadership training for service to God in CWF, the church and the community.
  • Stewardship of time, talents and resources for the mission of the church. CWF supports many organizations, including:
    • Church Finance Council: Disciples Mission Fund and Special Offerings.
    • Local Outreach: Tall Oaks Christian Church Camp: an ecumenical retreat center sponsored by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located just west of Bonner Springs, Kansas.
    • Together Center: an inner city ministry that provides after school programs for children, day program during the summer, and clothes closet for those in the community needing assistance.
    • National/World Outreach: Christian Minister's Scholarship Program, Prison Ministry, Church World Service, and Woodhaven Learning Center.
    • Service Projects: shut-in visits, food pantry, valentine mailings for college students and military personnel, and, health kits and school supplies for local schools.

The CWF is divided into fellowship groups. These groups meet monthly in a member's home or at the church.
